A Community to Grow With
School life brings learning, friendship and personal growth together. Pastoral care, our house community, creative activities and shared spaces help pupils feel that they belong.

Pastoral Care
House leaders and peer mentors support students’ wellbeing alongside academic learning. Baobab’s pastoral approach aims to help pupils feel safe, secure and able to participate fully in school life.
Pupils are encouraged to take part, care for one another and contribute to their community.
Day School
Day pupils share in Baobab’s academic and pastoral life, activities and facilities. Daily routines create space for learning, friendships and wellbeing, with school communication keeping families connected.
House Life
Every pupil joins Eagle, Falcon or Hawk. Individuals and teams earn points for attendance, merits and house activities. The winning house receives the house cup at the end of the school year.

Clubs & Creativity
The orchestra, choir, debating, chess and creative clubs give pupils ways to explore interests beyond lessons. Middle School activities include science and technology clubs, knitting, crochet and mindfulness.
Senior students can take part in community service, Scholar’s Cup and JETS — Junior Engineers, Technicians and Scientists. Supervised prep sessions support study after lessons.

University & Careers
Senior College students have two tutorials each week. One focuses on careers, with university presentations and visiting professionals. The other explores personal, social, health and citizenship topics, including independent living, exam pressure, leadership and time management.
Each student has a dedicated tutor for personal statements, applications and references. Senior College students use BridgeU to explore courses worldwide, and Baobab is registered for UK university applications through UCAS. Dedicated study spaces help pupils develop independent working habits.
High Performance Learning
High expectations and supportive relationships help pupils discover their strengths and develop as learners.
